MUSICAL DIRECTOR

Rowland's career as a composer, arranger and conductor encompasses the worlds of Television, Theatre and Ballet as well as concert music.

In 1998, he re-orchestrated the ballet Swan Lake for choreographer Sir Matthew Bourne; This is now the world's most performed dance production and  can be seen again at Sadler's Wells this coming December and January.

He arranged the music for this year's national tour of the musical  A Spoonful of Sherman. Some of his concert music is published by Edition Peters, including his Requiem, composed for Dame Sarah Connolly.

Among his 700- plus Television credits he is probably best known as the composer of  Cloudbabies and 64 Zoo Lane, though he also orchestrated most of the recent series of Endeavour.

 

Rowland is very proud to be the Musical Director of the Cranwell Military Wives' Choir.
